About

The Department of Political Science was established on 30.08.1994 with both the Honors Degree Courses and General Degree Courses.

 Initially there were few students but the number gradually increased with inquisitive students and now the student strength is one of the highest among other departments in the College.

The students come from remote areas so the Department not only help them in the academics but also groom them to be a good citizen/human being by teaching them about moral values, principles and the duties of a good citizen of the country.

The students are also encouraged to raise questions and participate in seminars, debate and extra-curricular activities.

The Department currently offers Political Science Honors Course in CBCS mode and Political Science Major under Four Year Under Graduate Program (FYUGP) under NEP 2020.

 Presently the Department of Political Science has four faculties.
