Samsi College

Samsi College, which is situated in the middle of North Malda, is the second oldest college in Malda district, West Bengal. The college started its journey in 1968 away from the hurly-burly amidst in the lap of nature at Kandaran in Chanchal 2 Block. The main object of the college is to provide quality education to the pupil to make them competent for their future. College is ready to provide all kinds of academic support to each and every student. Our utmost importance is to make a disciplined, well-mannered, and responsible human being with moral and ethical values in all senses. We emphasise initiating all-round development through our well-structured CBCS curriculum, well-planned Academic Calendar, continuous evaluation through internal and tutorial examinations. Apart from the academic curriculum, various co-curricular activities like sports and games, debate and quiz, poster and model exhibition wall magazine, cultural programmes are being organised  in every calendar year to make the pupil ‘a ready man’.

The college offers Honours in 11 subjects along with general courses. There is UG in commerce as well. It is performing as the study centre for PG of Rabindra Bharati University since 2007. Though there is paucity of teaching staff and equipment, the faculties and college administration are always dedicated to serve their best for the betterment of the students. I cordially seek the support and cooperation from all the stakeholders of Samsi College to make this institute a Centre for Excellence in the near future.
